Clark, 85, formerly of Altus, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, in Amarillo, Texas. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Rose Cemetery in Hobart with Eugene Foreman officiating. Arrangements were by Kincannon Funeral Home of Altus. Mr. Clark was born Aug. 24, 1919, in Gotebo, to Early Ellsworth and Hulda Emily (Romary) Clark. He served his country proudly as a gunnery sergeant for Battery C, 4th Marine Battallion in World War II. Survivors include two daughters, Vivian Medders of Amarillo and Roberta Allen of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters, Ora Marler of Oklahoma and Wilma M. Nichols of Pauls Valley; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to First Christian Church, 1300 N. Hudson St., Altus, OK 73521; or National POW Memorial.
