All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Navajoe Cemetery--Jackson County OK Lawton Constitution 1 Dec 2002 Avanell Sexton Conger ALTUS - Funeral for Avanell Sexton Conger, 65, Altus, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Friendship Baptist Church, Altus, with the Rev. Madison Clinton officiating. Mrs. Conger died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002. Burial will be at Navajoe Cemetery under direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, Altus. She was born July 20, 1937, in Hollis to Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Sexton. She married Jim Conger on Dec. 23, 1954, in Altus. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She was the owner of Altus Western Wear from 1969-83. She was a member of the National Greyhound Association and Oklahoma Greyhound Association. Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, Jimmy C. Conger, Cyril; two daughters and sons-in-law: Dana nd Mike Fall, Oklahoma City; and Gina and Paul Abernathy, Goodland, Kan.; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Dorothy and Troy Ayers, Hollis; Wilma and Joe Brooks, Sapulpa; Glenna and Sterling Jones, Hollis; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
