Paul Dean Hawkins

Paul Dean Hawkins, 60, of Amarillo, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Beacon Baptist Church 
with Danny Chisum, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell 
Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mr. Hawkins was born June 4, 1944, in Okemah, Okla., to Jess and Leah 
Hawkins and later moved to Altus, Okla. He attended school at Duke 
Public School, where he graduated in 1964. He was a veteran of the 
Army, serving in the Vietnam War. During his lifetime he worked at 
many professions, but his favorite was driving a truck. He was saved 
and baptized at Greenleaf Baptist Indian Church in Okemah at a young 
age.

We have lost a loving father, brother, uncle and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers Jim, Glen, 
Dale, Bob and Steven Hawkins.

Survivors include a daughter, Tara Hawkins; a son, Matt Hawkins of 
Vale, Ore.; six sisters, Jean Gallagher and husband, Fred, of Altus, 
Ann Van Damme, Winnie Woods and husband, Danny, and Louise Hawkins, 
all of Amarillo, June Babb and husband, Gary, of San Diego, Calif., 
and Sarah Behling and husband, Tom, of Harlingen; two brothers, 
William Hawkins of Okmulgee, Okla., and Clint Hawkins and wife, 
Juanita, of Amarillo; and a host of nephews, nieces and many good 
friends.
