All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Frederick Memorial Cemetery--Frederick OK Lawton Constitution 1 Nov 2003 Jerry Heap FREDERICK -- Funeral for Jerry Bob Heap, 57, Frederick, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Frederick First Christian Church with the Rev. Truman Ferguson, Andarko First Christian Church minister; and the Rev. Ish Engle, Frederick First Christian Church minister, officiating. Mr. Heap died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, in Frederick. Burial will be at Frederick Memorial Cemetery under direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home. He was born June 22, 1946, in Altus to Ralph Warren and Edna Lee Brown Heap. He attended Frederick schools, graduating from Frederick High School in 1964. During school, he was active in Boy Scouts of America, where he received the Eagle Scout Award, and Future Farmers of America, where he received the State Farmer Award. He attended the University of Oklahoma, Southwestern Oklahoma State College and Cameron. He married Clydia Lee Cottrell on Aug. 26, 1965, in Frederick. They were married until 1980. He joined his father’s car dealership, Frederick Motor Company (Chrysler), as a salesman in 1967, and later became the owner. He also was involved in farming and ranching. More recently, he traveled throughout the northeastern United States buying and selling auto parts for classic auto restoration. He had been a member of the Frederick Country Club; Frederick Jaycees, where he was a Jaycee of the Year Award recipient; and First Christian Church, where he had served as a deacon. He was a City of Frederick councilman of Ward 4 from 1979 to 1983. Survivors include two sons: Chad Heap, Washington, D.C.; and James Heap and his wife, Bridget, Frederick; his parents, Frederick; a sister, Dianne Allen, and her husband, Bobby, Benbrook, Texas; a brother, Roger Heap and his wife, Nancy, Frederick; three grandchildren: Justin, Colt and Sadie; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and his friend and companion, Carol Gauldin.
