All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Texhoma Cemetery--Texhoma OK Roy Hickman Roy Hickman, 86, of Amarillo, a former resident of Texhoma, Okla., died Saturday, Nov. 29, 1997. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church at Texhoma with the Rev. Terry Davidson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Texhoma Cemetery by Dawson-Welch Funeral Home of Texhoma. Mr. Hickman was born in Eldorado, Okla. He moved with his parents to Texhoma in 1910 where he had lived most of his life, graduating from Texhoma High School. He served in the Army for four years during World War II then worked in the Texhoma Post office from 1947 until retiring in 1969. He moved to Amarillo in 1985. He was a member of Texhoma Masonic Lodge 382 and First Baptist Church of Texhoma. He married Virginia Lou Berry in 1947 at Texhoma. She died in 1989. Survivors include a daughter, Janet Hickman of Amarillo; and a granddaughter, Kaeli Michyl Hickman of Amarillo. The family requests memorials be to Texhoma Cemetery c/o Dawson-Welch Funeral Home, 715 W. Main, Texhoma, Okla. 73949.
