James Richard 'Jim' Holder

OLUSTEE - Word has been received of the death of former Altus 
resident James Richard "Jim" Holder, 71, Olustee. Funeral was Tuesday 
at Kincannon Funeral Home Chapel with Granville Clapp and the Rev. 
Frank Mitchell officiating. Mr. Holder died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at 
an Oklahoma City hospital. Burial was at the family homeplace in 
Creta, Jackson County. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; two 
daughters and a son-in-law: Diane Chowning, Altus; and Kari and Scott 
Pryor, Olustee; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Rick Holder, and Mark 
and Kathy Holder, all of Creta; six sisters and three brothers-in-
law: Louise and Leon Dollins, Altus; Freda and Don Beals, Shirley 
Zachary, and Carrolia and Dick Lunney, all of Iowa Park, Texas; 
Gloria Haas, Wichita Falls, Texas; and Camilla Stephens, Fort Worth, 
Texas; a brother, David Holder, Altus; and nine grandchildren: Julie 
Miller and her husband, Chad; and Laurey Chowning, all of Altus; 
Tanner and Tyler Holder, Childress, Texas; Haley and Harison Holder, 
Creta; Jamie Pryor, Quanah, Texas; and Kelci and James Dylan Pryor, 
Olustee.
