Pauline J. Johnson

ALTUS — Funeral for Pauline Johnson, 88, Altus, will be at 1 p.m. 
Friday at Booker United Methodist Church, Booker, Texas, with Jay 
Devers officiating.

Mrs. Johnson died Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at a Lawton hospital. 
Burial will be at Ochiltree County Cemetery, south of Perryton, 
Texas, under direction of Johnson’s Good Samaritan Funeral Service, 
Booker. Local arrangements are by Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

She was born May 28, 1914, in Perryton to Alva E. and Amanda Mae 
Peterson Devers. She grew up in Perryton, and graduated from Perryton 
High School in 1932. She married Tom W. Johnson, and they moved to 
Altus in 1964. He died in 1975. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Charles E. Webb, Prairie Grove, Ark.; a 
daughter, Linda Ingram, Lawton; two brothers: Clyde Devers, Booker; 
and Arnold Devers, Balko; two grandchildren: Teresa Dale, Lawton; and 
Marla Webb, Fayetteville, Ark.; and three great-grandchildren: 
Heather Dale, Robby Dale and Rebekah Dale, all of Lawton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and five 
brothers.
