Johnston, John T. "Jay"

John T. "Jay" Johnston, 86, of Elmer, Okla., and formerly of 
Portales, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, at Jackson County Memorial 
Hospital in Elmer.

He was born Sept. 20, 1920, in Portales.

He was a retired trucker and former mayor of Capitan.

Survivors include a son, Tommy Johnston; a grandson, Bobby Johnston; 
and a granddaughter, Dorothy Young.

Services: 2 p.m. today (CST) at Elmer United Methodist Church.
