All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Obit for Mack Edwin Kilgore Mack Edwin Kilgore VERNON - Mack Edwin Kilgore, 86, a former longtime Amarillo resident, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 1996. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Eastview Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. O.C. Harper officiating. Arrangements are by Sullivan Funeral Home. Mr. Kilgore was born in Sherman. He lived in Vernon until 1937 when he moved to Big Spring. He then moved to Pecos and later to Amarillo, where he lived for more than 40 years. He worked in the oil fields from 1928 until 1931. He worked for Affiliated Foods while living in Amarillo. After retiring, he returned to Vernon. He was a member of Vernon Central Christian Church and of the Elks Lodge of Amarillo. He married Lacy M. Bomar in 1934 at Altus, Okla. She died in 1987. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Ratliff. Survivors include two grandchildren, Laura Haynes of Illinois and David Ratliff of Amarillo; and a nephew, Alan Kilgore of Tyler; and three great-grandchildren.
