All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::City Cemetery--Altus OK Lawton Constitution 15 July 2003 Odessa Leonard FLETCHER— Funeral for Odessa Leonard, 97, Fletcher, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher with Dave Mahan, Athens, Texas, officiating. Mrs. Leonard died Monday, July 14, 2003 in a Lawton nursing center. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. at Altus City Cemetery. She was born Jan. 15, 1906, in Olustee, to Amos Montgomery and Hattie Scott Montgomery. She graduated from Cottonwood School District No. 3 in Olustee. She married Grady Leonard on Feb. 22, 1926, in Olustee. They moved to Altus from Olustee in 1947. He died May 17, 1976. She was a homemaker, and a cook for Altus Public Schools and Comanche County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Altus First Baptist Church and the Rebekah Lodge. She was a resident of the McMahon Tomlinson Nursing Center for several years. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Doyle and Nedra Leonard, Elgin; a daughter-in-law, Flora Leonard, Hinton, a brother, Pete Montgomery; six grandchildren: Donna Wright, Cheri Mahan, Debbie Adler, Toni Kopp, Robert Leonard and Dave Leonard; and 11 great- grandchildren.
