Hanford Sentinel 3 Nov 2006 Donald Wayne McGuffin Hanford resident Donald Wayne McGuffin, 81, died Oct. 31. Donald was born Dec. 6, 1924 in Blair, Okla. He was a retired general manager of research and development for Armco Steel, and was a World War II veteran. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday followed by funeral services at 11:30 at Glad Tidings Church in Hanford. Burial with military honors will be in Calvary Cemetery in Hanford. Arrangements are under the direction of Bledsoe Family Peoples Funeral Chapel in Corcoran. ========= Hanford Sentinel 4 Nov 2006 Donald Wayne McGuffin Hanford resident Donald Wayne McGuffin, 81, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006. Donald was born Dec. 6, 1924 in Blair, Okla. He was a retired general manager of research and development for Armco Steel. Donald was a sergeant in the United States Army in World War II and a recipient of the Silver Star with Valor and the Purple Heart medals. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lucille; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Richard Knapp of Hanford, Denise and Ken Trappen of Mariposa; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday followed by funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at the Glad Tidings Baptist Church, 10th Avenue and Grangeville Boulevard in Hanford. Burial with military honors will be in the Calvary Cemetery.
