Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Lewis Ellis, pastor of First Baptist Church of Lefors, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa with graveside rites conducted by Pampa Masonic Lodge No. 966 AF & AM. Mr. McPherson was born in Hess, Okla. He moved to Gray County in 1928 and graduated from Pampa High School in 1933. He drove a milk truck for Geaheart Creamery. He also drove for Your Laundry & Dry Cleaners and worked for 4R Industrial and for Cities Service, retiring in 1977. He was also a rancher. Mr. McPherson was a 50-year member and past president of the Shriners, a 50-year member of Pampa Chapter No. 65 Order of the Eastern Star and a 50-year member of Pampa Masonic Lodge No. 966. He also belonged to the Moose Lodge and was past president of the Sports Club. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lefors. In 1933 he married Mildred Hallman at Wheeler. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Marie Watson of Florence, S.C.; a brother, Robert ÔBob' McPherson of Pampa; three grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
