Miller PETERSBURG - Arthur B. Miller, 83, died Saturday, April 11, 1998. Services will be at 4 p.m. todayin First Baptist Church with Lee Couch, retired Methodist minister of Lamesa, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Miller was born in Altus, Okla., and moved to Petersburg in 1958. He was an Army veteran of World War II with the 3rd Division, 30th Infantry in the amphibious invasion of North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France and Germany. Mr. Miller worked with youths in baseball and tennis. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Petersburg, Order of Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge, American Legion, Senior Citizens and RSVP. He married Mary Miller in 1941 at Plainview. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mary Henderson of Big Lake; two sons, Junebug Miller of Petersburg and Ellis Miller of Miami; two brothers, Porter Miller of Andrews and Coy Miller of Grass Valley, Calif.; special friends, Keith Biggers of South Lake, Jim Paul Young of Levelland, Mark Hegi of Petersburg and Dennis Bruington of Waco; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Jackson County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/jackson/jackson.html
