Funeral will be at a later date. Mrs. Monks died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at a Lawton hospital. Arrangements are with Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, Altus. She was born May 10, 1938, in Arkansas to James Herman Capehart and Leona Capehart. She married Kenneth James Monks in 1965 at McCurtain. They moved to Blair in 1965. She was a homemaker and attended the Salvation Army. Survivors include two children and their spouses: Faye and Curtis Frysinger, Snyder; and Kenny and Monica Monks; a sister-in-law, Earlene Capehart, Blair; a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Edna Capehart, Mangum; a sister, Shirley Thompson, Mangum; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two brothers: Bill and Alvie Capehart.
