Patterson, 74, a retired quality control supervisor, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2005 in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Benbrook. Burial: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Prairie Hill Cemetery, Duke, Okla. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook. James E. Patterson was born Feb. 12, 1931, in Detroit, Texas, to L.H. and Willie Mae Patterson. He married Letty Arlene Kenmore Feb. 4, 1951. James served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950-1970 before retiring. He worked 13 years in quality control for Lockheed Martin. James was a resident of Benbrook for 41 years and a member of First Baptist Church, Benbrook. Survivors: Wife, Letty Arlene; sons, Mike (Judy) Patterson, Rick (Janet) Patterson, David (Barbara) Patterson, Dale (Laura) Patterson; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Harvey (Charlene) Patterson, Bobby (LoEtta) Patterson, Gerald Patterson; sisters, Kathy (the Rev. Larry) Haynes and Mayme (Ralph) Beard.
