All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Memory Gardens Cemetery--Amarillo TX Annie Pearl Pirkle PAMPA - Annie Pearl Pirkle, 86, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, in Plainview. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Carl Novian, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Pirkle was born Nov. 23, 1917, in Quanah to Jim and Lenora Templeton. She married James Vernon Pirkle on June 16, 1934, in Eldorado, Okla. During their married life, they lived in Hall County, Dalhart and Pampa. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, and he was a firefighter. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1947, moving to Plainview in 1995. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Fireman's Auxiliary Club. She was preceded in death by her husband in February 1985; two brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include a son, Joe D. Pirkle and wife, Yvie, of Amarillo; a daughter, Barbara Ann Davis and husband, Harold, of Plainview; a sister, Naomia Harper of Amarillo; four grandsons, Harold Davis Jr. of Rockport, J.D. Davis of Austin, Glen Davis of Lubbock and Glenn L. Cavett of Wichita Falls; and nine great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Alzheimer's Association, 2200 W. Seventh Ave., Amarillo, TX 79106; or Vista Care Family Hospice, 4418 Olton Road, Plainview, TX 79072. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
