Griggs Paul Y. Griggs TUCSON, Ariz. - Paul Y. Griggs, 86, died Saturday, April 13, 2002. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Dumas Cemetery at Dumas, Texas, with the Rev. Mark Wallis, pastor of Life Tabernacle Church in Dumas, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Mr. Griggs was born Nov. 18, 1915, in Snyder, Texas. He married Jewel Muir on July 26, 1959, in Lordsburg, N.M. He had been a Tucson resident since 1947. He was a brick mason contractor. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Donald Griggs of Phoenix, and Eddie Griggs and Denis Griggs, both of Tucson; a daughter, Altha Baker of Altus, Okla.; three sisters, Mertie Taylor of Dumas, Juanita Angle of Woodward, Okla., and Louva Kersey of Amarillo, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Life Tabernacle Church. Amarillo Globe-News, April 18, 2002
