All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Browns FH--Durant OK Durant Daily Democrat 8 Feb 2005 Dudley Hardy Savage, 68 A memorial services for Dudley Hardy Savage, 68, of Enos, who passed away Saturday, February 5, 2005, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma, will be Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at 2:30 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Rev. Keith Wiggington will officiate. Dudley was born June 25, 1936, in Altus, Oklahoma, to Eddie Savage and Reba (Bush) Savage. Dudley married Billie Workman in Maypearl, Texas, on August 19, 1996. He attended school in Friendship, Oklahoma, and graduated from Southwestern University in 1959. He was drafted by the Pittsburg Pirates and played baseball for the Philadelphia Phillies. Dudley was a driver education teacher, and he coached baseball, football and basketball in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado and Texas. He was a member of the Baptist faith, and at his death he was the owner of Corner Pocket Domino and Pool Hall. Dudley's favorite pastime was fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Reba Savage; his sister Owene; brother Deloy Savage; and first wife Ida May Savage. Survivors include his wife, Billie Savage of the home; son Eddie Savage and wife Sherri of Elk City; son, Danny Savage and wife Tonya of Ashburn, Virginia; son, Joe Savage and wife Regina of Mansfield, Texas; brother, Max Savage and wife Judy of Antlers; sister-in-law Norma Lewis of Roswell, New Mexico; 15 grandchildren, three great- grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
