William Marvin Teague

MONROE, La. - William Marvin Teague, 85, a former Childress, Texas, 
resident, died Monday, March 3, 1997.

Services will be Wednesday in First Methodist Church of Monroe. 
Burial will be in Start Cemetery.

Mr. Teague was born in Eldorado, Okla. He married Blanche Hester in 
1935 at Childress. He was a road and bridge construction worker and 
foreman most of his life. He retired as a county maintenance 
superintendent from the Texas Highway Department in Childress.

Following his retirement in the early 1970s, he and his wife moved to 
Monroe.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara Simpson and Evelyn 
Teague.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert Teague of the home; a 
sister, Ozara Simpson of Lewisville, Texas; a brother, Weldon W. 
Teague of Childress; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
