She was born July 20, 1926, in Waxahachie, TX, to C.E. Richie and Rosa Nell (Moses) Richie. Betty Wikoff married Rev. O. Dale Wikoff, and was a devoted pastor's wife, assisting in the founding of Plainview Baptist Church in Tulsa, from 1947 to 1956. She also assisted her husband at Stonebluff Baptist Church, Stonebluff, OK, from 1956 until 1963. Betty Wikoff was the Office Manager of the Houston Baptist Book Store and later was a Legal Secretary for Dresser Industries. In 2002, Betty and Dale moved to Altus. She published her first book of poetry, Life Is Not a Parking Lot; Keep Moving, in 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by: her son, Dr. O.D. Wikoff and wife, Joyce of Altus; and her daughter, Becky Fite and husband, Larry of Graham, TX; 3 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Margaret Rose of Pueblo, CO. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the First Baptist Church, Moore, with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating.
