Aubrey Gordon Wilson

ELMER — Funeral for former Tipton resident Aubrey Gordon Wilson, 85, 
Elmer, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tipton Church of Christ with the 
Rev. Leonard Gray, Altus, officiating.

Mr. Wilson died Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at Stillwater.

Burial will be at Hess Cemetery west of Tipton under direction of 
Gray Gish Funeral Home Tipton Chapel.

He was born Aug. 13, 1917, in a Wilson farmhouse to Thomas Edgar and 
Ethel Drue Tucker Wilson. He grew up in Tipton and farmed and ranched 
with his uncle for 20 years. He married Billie Jac Fitzgerald on June 
16, 1946, in Tipton. He lived at the Wilson home place, a mile west of 
where he was born, for more than 60 years. The farm had been in 
the Wilson and Tucker families for more than 100 years. He was a 
member of Tipton Church of Christ for more than 70 years.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; four sons and daughters-in-
law: Randy and Donna Wilson, and Terry and Denise Wilson, all of 
Stillwater; Barry and Pam Wilson, Butler; and Danny and Cheryl 
Wilson, Perkins; and seven grandchildren.
