All around medal class A track was awarded to THOMAS of Claypool and the B class award went to TOM ENOS of Irving. L. TIDWELL has endeavored to make it very plain to all persons that so long as he is chairman of the town council, there will be no pool halls or public dance halls…. Mr. Ripley, Hens Lay Rubber Eggs, They Do! We believe we have a good one for Mr. Ripley. A. R. ABSHIRE of Atlee has hens or at least one hen that lays 'rubber eggs.!' And here is how we known. Abshire brought in a crate of eggs Thursday and sold them to the Jones Grocery. Jones was taking the eggs out of the crate and counting them when he found the rubber egg. He stared at Abshire with a look of dismay. 'Those kids have been looking all over the place for that rubber ball,' Abshire declared as he took it, bounced on the floor and put it in his pocket. Bride 70 and Groom 79 Wed in Ringling, Tuesday, April 5 Speaking of the rare weddings, REV. C. O. BIGBIE performed one on April 5 win which the bride was 70 years and the groom was 79. MRS. E. E. HADNAILL (?) and N. W. GRISHAM, both of Graham, were united in marriage at the Bigbie home in the presence of witnesses. The couple appeared at the Bigbie home and not knowing where to obtain the licenses, ask the minister to obtain the papers for them. Bigbie complied with their wish, but pondered whether to swear that the contracting parties were both of legal age. Finally he took a chance, swore to the papers, and proceeded with the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. GRISHAM will be at home in Graham where he is an oil company employee. CULBERSON-DUMAS MISS MARY JANE CULBERSON of Ringling and WILBUR DUMAS of the Reck community were married Saturday evening, April 9, 1932 at the home of W. C.HOGAN in Cornish. They will make their home in the Reck community. Texas Laws Get Man Arrested in Healdton CHARLES GANT and C. W. MEANS of Longview, Texas were in Ringling Wednesday morning to see Deputy Sheriff HERMAN LONGEST about taking charge of JIM NOLAN who was arrested last Friday by CONSTABLE BILL RATLIFF. After definitely locating Nolan, wanted at Longview on hijacking charges, Longest phoned Ratliff at Healdton to make the arrest. Nolan was placed in jail in Waurika to await arrival of Texas authorities. The DANIEL Oratorical Award was given to DOYLE RITCHIE of the Union Valley school. This contest was sponsored by Rep. J. T. DANIEL and the prize was furnished by him. Orr High school Is Graduating Four This Year Going to school has become more popular in the Orr community under the superintendence of ARTHUR H. James Pomeroy has a scholarship to the Chillicothe Commercial College at Chillicothe, Missouri, but he expects to attend Oklahoma A. & M. Orr Eighth Grade Graduates Sixteen The eighth grade graduation exercises were held Thursday evening, April 14 at 8:00, THOMAS VICK of Marietta delivered the address.
