Rev. WATSON officiated and interment was directed by Gus Pool & Son Funeral Home of Durant. Mrs. Davis died in a Dallas hospital Sunday following a three weeks illness. She had lived in Bokchito for 24 years and was a member of the Church of Christ. She was born August 5, 1877 in Arkansas. Survivors are her husband, CHARLES M. DAVIS; six sons, NAT DAVIS of Dierks, Ark.; FRANK DAVIS of Holdenville; HOLDER DAVIS of Broken Bow; TILDEN DAVIS of Mean; CLARENCE DAVIS of Walters; REX DAVIS of Ringling; three daughters, Mrs. ELATHA MANASCO of Amarillo, Texas, Mrs. LEEVY DAVIS of Dierks, Ark.; Mrs. AGNES DEERE of Amarillo, Texas; four brothers, 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were DOOLEY VEAL, BILL WORTHY, EARL TAYLOR, HOLLAND ROBINSON, TRELLA HOUSTON, and CECIL PARKER. Thursday, April 1, 1948 VERNON TICEY MOYER Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in the Assembly of God Church for TICEY VERNON MOYER. He was born December 27, 1901 in Sherman, Texas and died in Andrews, Texas March 23, 1948. He is survived by his wife, IRENE CARROL MOYER, two daughters Mrs. HOWARD GABRIEL and REBA JO MOYER, one son JACK VERNON MOYER, and three grandchildren of Hobbs, New Mexico, his mother MARY MOYER of Ringling; two brothers, DEWEY of Byers, Texas and SHIRLEY of Ringling; and one sister PRUNEY HELMS of Stillwater. He moved to Jefferson County at an early age with his parents. He spent most of his life near Ringling, moving to Hobbs, N. M. six years ago. He was married to IRENE CARROLL March 25, 1923. To this union were born three children, all surviving. Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. JOHN GILMORE of Shawnee; Mrs. NEIL HELM of Stillwater; Mrs. ERNEST MULKEY of Hobbs, N. M.; Mrs. TILLIE MOYER, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. CARROLL of Alec; Mr. and Mrs. M. MOYER, Mr. and Mrs. OAK TEMPLETON, Mr. and Mrs. MARVIN ANDERSON, Mrs. EFFIE EVANS, Mrs. VADA BATES, Mrs. POPE all of Waurika, Mr. and Mrs. PHILLIP HUGHES of Hines City, Texas. ROBERT WATSON MOORE Funeral services were held Wednesday in the First Baptist Church for ROBERT WATSON MOORE, who died Monday. T. W. PHILLIPS of Ardmore, minister of the local Church of Christ, conducted the services. Mr. Moore was born August 15, 1862 at Palestine, Arkansas. He was married in 1884 to Miss MARTHA WILSON at Hope, Arkansas. To this union were born 14 children, eight of whom are living. Mrs. Moore preceded her husband in death in 1931. Mr. Moore had been a resident of this vicinity since 1886. Immediate survivors are four sons, R.E. MOORE of Antlers, CLYDE MOORE of Lawton, GEORGE MOORE of Salinas, California; FATE MOORE of Amarillo; and four daughters, MYRTLE GRAVES of Oklahoma City, EDITH MOORE of Salinas, Calif.; PEARL HAWKINS and Mrs. W. C. WRIGHT, both of Amarillo, Texas. Funeral arrangements were made by Collier Bros. and interment was in the Cornish cemetery. EMMA UNDERWOOD EMMA JANE UNDERWOOD (nee REYNOLDS0 was born November 2, 1881 at Sunset, Texas. She passed away at Oklahoma City March 12, 1948 at age of 66 years 4 months 10 days. At the age of 16, she was united in marriage with R. A. UNDERWOOD at Montague, Texas. Eleven children were born to this union, eight of whom are living. They are GERALD UNDERWOOD of Healdton, FLORENCE BOYLOR of Healdton, EDDIE PERKINS of Stroud, BEULAH STOCKTON of Santa Paulo, California; ALTA PHFONETIEN of Buena Park, Calif., JOHNNIE UNDERWOOD of Stroud, ARVIL UNDERWOOD of Bakersfield, Calif. She has a brother W. B. REYNOLDS of Ardmore and a sister OLLIE SIMON of New Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. UNDERWOOD moved to Healdton in 1887. They lived in and around Healdton, Atlee, Ringling and Cornish. Her husband died some years ago. The flower girls were JACKIE UNDERWOOD, CHRISTINE UNDERWOOD, EMMA LEE UNDERWOOD, WILMA JEAN THORNBERRY, BETTY RUTH PERKINS, MARY FRANCES PERKINS, WANDA CROSS and JOYCE BOYLOR. The body, which lay in state at the Richards Funeral Home, was taken to the home of her niece, Mr. AROLA MIDDLEBROOK of Healdton where loved ones gathered for a farewell before she was taken to the Baptist church for funeral rites. .written by Mrs. M. E. HARRIS. Mrs. ELLA COLSON RICE ELLA FRANCES COLSON RICE, widow of D. N. RICE, passed away March 24, 1948 at the age of 60 (age not on my copy). Mrs. Rice was born at Clarksville, Texas March 31, 188_(year?). She had resided at Healdton for the past six years. Mrs. Rice was married in Ardmore in 1896. Her husband preceded here in death three years ago. She is survived by one son, W. D. RICE of Baton Rouge, La., four daughters Mrs. W. W. SPARROW of Healdton, Mrs. M. O. TUCKER of Big Spring, Texas, Mrs. N. BIHN of Evansville, Illinois, Mrs. AUDRY WAGGONER of Oklahoma City, a brother W. M. COLSON of Ringling, a sister Mrs. A.SARRAT, a stepmother Mrs. J. COLSON of Ardmore, one half-sister Mrs. OUIDA ELLIS ; two half-brothers, J. B. COLSONof Marietta, and OLLIE COLSON of Phoenix, Arizona, 15 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Burial was not until Saturday, the 28th, to due to the arrival of children. She was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, arranged by Bettes Funeral Home. Thursday, May 6, 1948 ANNA R. STALLINGS ANNA RHETTA STALLINGS was born January 9, 1876 in Sumner County, Kansas. She departed this life April 29 at her home in Ringling at age of 72 years 3 months 20 days. She was united in marriage with LEE C. STALLINGS April 9, 1900 at Winoka, Oklahoma and to this union were born 2 children, one of whom survives. Mrs. Stallings was converted and joined the Baptist church at Fairview in 1910 at age of 34 years. She has been a resident of this community for the pats 34 years and a member of the Baptist church at Ringling. She is survived by her husband, LEE STALLINGS, a son JAMES L. STALLINGS of Pawnee, seven grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Friday by Rev. JOE H. MUSIC, pastor of the First Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. J. C. DODSON of Duncan.
