Z.D. Blaine

Z.D. Blaine, 79, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999. 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in San Jacinto United Methodist 
Church with the Rev. Bill Fitzgerald, pastor, officiating. Burial will be 
in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia 
Circle.

Mr. Blaine was born in Waurika, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo for 50 
years. He was an Army veteran, having served in Germany. 

He was a plumber and had been a chief city plumbing inspector for the City 
of Amarillo. He was a member of the Texas State Association of Plumbing 
Inspectors where he served as president in 1981. 

Mr. Blaine was a member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church and the 
Wesley Comrades Sunday School Class. 

He married Martha Jo Shearer in 1941 at Mayfield, Okla. 

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Naomi Burnett of Arlington; and a 
grandson. 

The family requests memorials be to San Jacinto United Methodist Church, 
505 Tennessee, Amarillo, TX 79106; or the Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 
50433, Amarillo, TX 79159.
