All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 17 Nov 2003 Essie Bryce HASTINGS — Graveside service for Essie Bryce, 97, Hastings, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hastings Cemetery. Mrs. Bryce died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, in Meridian. Arrangements are by Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home, Temple. She was born Nov. 3, 1906, in Alma, Indian Territory, to Frank and Mary Sanders Lantz. She grew up in Ringling. She married Homer Bryce on April 4, 1928, in Ringling, where they made their home until moving to a farm near Hastings in 1941. She was a longtime member of the Ferguson Home Demonstration Club and a member of Hastings Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters and their husbands: Betty Adams and her husband Kenneth, Duncan; Peggy Harper and her husband Jimmy, Meridian; and Stella Hankins, Oklahoma City; a son-in-law, Billy McKay, Temple; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Bryce, San Diego; a sister, Alta Martin, Waco, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great- grandchildren.
