All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm +========================================================================+ The Chickasha Express-Star 14 December 2003 CHARLES HUGH BROWN ARLINGTON - Charles Hugh Brown, 71, a retired air traffic controller, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2003, at St. Paul's University Hospital in Dallas. Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Monday at Lamar Baptist Church in Arlington. Burial: Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Arlington Funeral Home. Charles was Born November 3, 1932, in Waurika, Okla. He was stationed at Carswell AFB in Fort Worth. He served in Japan during the Korean conflict with the Air Force. He received National Service Defense and Good Conduct medals. Charles retired after 31 years as an air traffic controller. After retirement, he had a landscaping business. His hobbies were woodworking and making furniture for the family. He wrote short stories and also built playhouses for both his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Lamar Baptist Church in Arlington. He was preceded in death by son Brian Hugh Brown in 1964.
