All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 21 March 2005 JERRY NALL BROWN Jerry Nall Brown, 62, of Duncan went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 17, 2005. Jerry passed away from complications related to Pulmonary Fibrosis, after a recent battle of pneumonia. Funeral services will be held at the Don Grantham Funeral Home in Duncan, OK on Tuesday, March 22nd at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike McCord officiating. Jerry will be laid to rest at the Duncan City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be sons Tom and David Brown, son-in-law Jake Kingen, grandsons Duane Torrez and Rodney Burden, longtime friend Donnie Bledsoe, family friends Terry Cummings, Bill Claborn and Robert Kleridon. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 20th and 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21st. All friends and family are welcome to pay their last respects. Jerry was born in Waurika, Oklahoma to Daniel Nall and Nadine Elizabeth Brown on February 8, 1943. He attended Waurika Schools for eight years before moving with his family to California. He met the love of his life, Nancy Ann Palmer in San Fernando Valley, California. They married on July 21, 1961 in Van Nuys, California. Jerry and Nancy decided to move back to Oklahoma where they made their home in Waurika for 13 years. There after they moved to Duncan, Oklahoma where they have resided for the last 12 years. Jerry began his career at Rockwell International in Canoga Park, California where he worked for eight years, before moving to Palmdale, California where he worked for five years as a Tool Crib Operator/Machinist. After working at Rockwell for 13 years, he went to work in the automotive industry, where he worked primarily in the sales of auto parts and auto repair. He continued to work in the automotive industry until retiring in 2003. He spent years working at Gerken Richardson Auto Center in Waurika, OK, Wilmes Auto Group in Duncan, OK, John Holt Auto Zone, and Billingsley Ford all in Duncan, OK. Jerry’s passions were taking care of his wife, family, and friends, Jerry and Nancy were married for 43 years. They enjoyed attending and being involved with the Ray of Hope Church in Comanche, OK. He was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan, who enjoyed watching their football games with his family and friends. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend of many. Jerry enjoyed working on cars, taking care of his family and spending time on his computer, which gave him the ability to keep in contact with his family across the U.S. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jimmy Wayne Brown, four sisters: Marjorie Sue Dale, Cliffogene Brown, Dorothy Ruth Brown, and Patsy Gene Brown, his grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles, niece, and nephews. Survivors include his wife Nancy A. Brown of Duncan OK; three sons and two daughters: Thomas Eugene Brown and David Whitney Brown both of Waurika, OK, Ruthie Elizabeth Brown of Duncan, OK, Deborah Jean Kingen of Ninnekah, OK, and Timothy Paul Brown of Duncan, OK; son-in-law: Jacob Kingen of Ninnekah, OK; daughter-in-law: Becky Brown of Waurika, OK; future daughter-in-law: Jennifer Hardy of Elmore City, OK; four grandsons: Duana Torrez, Rodney Burden, Matthew and Hayden Brown; seven granddaughters: Liticia Burden, Stephanie Mills, Ashley Thomas, Autumn Kingen, Kayla Brown, Sydney Brown, and future granddaughter Jillian Tate; four great granddaughters: Whitney, Skylar, Jaden, and Madeleine; and two great grandsons: Devin Duana and Ethan Rodney. Surviving brothers include Truman Brown and Ted Brown. Surviving sisters include Mary Whiteman, Ann Smith, Sharon Parker, and Halley Hurley. Jerry will be greatly missed by all who love him, as he has touched many lives. He has left a lasting impression of beautiful memories in our hearts, as he spent his life serving the Lord. And as Daddy would say, “TTYL” (Talk to you later).
