All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Terral Cemetery--Terral Ok Duncan Banner 03 Sep 2002 Lola Cleveland WICHITA FALLS, Texas — Lola Cleveland, 93, of Wichita Falls, formerly of Ryan, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, in Grace Care Center. Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in Wichita Falls with the Rev. Walter Haynie and the Rev. Howard Chapman officiating. Graveside service will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in Terral Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Cleveland was born Aug. 16, 1909, in Bowie, Texas. She married Robert Elmer Cleveland in 1924, in Ringgold, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Cleveland retired from Thorn Nursing Center after 21 years of service. She was a dietitian. She loved people and loved taking care of them. When she wasn’t cooking for them, she loved to help the staff in taking care of their needs. Mrs. Cleveland was a Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star #147, where she had been a member for 34 years. She loved to play dominoes and enjoyed going on many church trips with First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Glory Choir, Roundtable and the Grandmother’s Club. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Oma and Dorman Anderson and Phyllis and Richard DeMoss, all of Wichita Falls; a son J. O. Cleveland of Wichita Falls; five sisters, Pauline Hudson of Fort Worth, Texas, Amy Jo Robinett of Duncan, Tressa Doyle Robinett of Chickasha, Mozell Allen of Oklahoma City and Dessie Dell Sellers of Lawton; two brothers, Cletus Ball of Marlow and Billy Ball of Arlington, Texas; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lola Lavirl Massengale, in 1979.
