Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church in Meridian, with the Rev. Bill Florez officiating and Gerald Helms and the Rev. Rusty Canoy assisting. Burial will be in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home in Duncan. Mr. Croy was born May 4, 1924, in Fleetwood to John Luther and Virgia Alreana Williams Croy. He married Wanda Mae Burkhalter on Dec. 1, 1945, in Wichita Falls. She preceded him in death on Aug. 9, 2002. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was honorably discharged as a sergeant. He retired from O’Neal Drilling Co., with more than 30 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Meridian. Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Katy Croy of Oklahoma City, Larry and Diane Croy of Burkburnett, Texas, John and Debby Croy of Marlow, Leonard and Sharon Croy of Ada, and Roman and Dianne Croy of Duncan; seven grandchildren, Clay Croy, Carrie Dale Croy, David Croy, Lute Croy, Katie Lynn Croy, Whitney Croy and Tyler Croy; and three great- grandchildren, Shawn Kyle Croy, John-Carter David Croy and Shannon Croy. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a sister, Dovie Loreta Croy Rayburn; and a grandson, John Carter Croy. Bearers will be David Croy, Lute Croy, Carrie Dale Croy, Clay Croy, Mike Rayburn and Richard Petty.
