All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 16 Feb 2003 Fred Chester Cerney Service for Fred Chester Cerney, 83, who died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, in the Jefferson County Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. on Monday at the Addington Baptist Church with Teddie Bulla and Mike Bernhardt officiating. Burial will be in the Addington Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. He was born April 13, 1919, to Joe and Mary Cerney in Addington. He married Myrtle Cleveland on Feb. 24, 1950, in Waurika. Mr. Cerney was a mechanic at several places, including Waurika. He farmed in Addington and retired from his position as a security officer with Halliburton in 1981. He was a graduate of Addington High School and was a member of the Addington Baptist Church. He is survived by one son, Fred Cereny Jr. and his wife Carol of Taft, Texas; one step-son, Lynn Strand of Wellston, Ohio; one daughter, Regina Anthony and her husband Wayne of Waurika; one step-daughter, Alvena Smith and her husband Jack of The Dalles, Ore.; several nieces and nephews; two grandsons, Jeff Anthony of Waurika and David Cerney and his wife Beth of Springfield, Mo.; one granddaughter, Jennifer Carr and her husband Ron of Irving, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Katie and Luke Cerney; five step- grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-great- grandchildren.
