Cortez Cranfill PERRY, Okla. - The Rev. Cortez "Corky" Cranfill, 62, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Grayson Lucky officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home. Rev. Cranfill was born in Ryan and was raised in southern Oklahoma. He graduated from Ryan High School and graduated from Southwest State University with a bachelor's and master's degree. He also attended Oklahoma State University. He served in the Marines and taught special education for 13 years. The Rev. Cranfill had been pastor of First United Methodist Church of Perry since 1992. He also had served as a minister at Manitou, Lexington, Lawton, Mutual, Fargo, Fort Supply and Fort Gibson churches. He was a member of the Perry Ministerial Alliance and the Perry Lions Club. Survivors include his wife, Sandy; four sons, Dan Cranfill of Lawton, Brent Cranfill of Edmond, Steven Sylvester of Robbins Air Force Base, Macon, Ga., and Kyle Cranfill of the home; and three grandchildren.
