All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Sunset Memorial Gardens--Lawton OK Tucson Citizen, Tucson AZ DAVIS, ROBBIE GERALD (Jerry), 71, of Kingston, Oklahoma died on Thursday, September 9, 2004 at his residence in Kingston. He was born November 22, 1932 in Savannah, Georgia to the late George Gerald and Melba Ann Easterling Davis. Jerry was reared in Claxton, Georgia. On February 28, 1953 Jerry married Carol Ann Kennedy Foster in Waurika, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army for twenty years during the Korean and Vietnam Wars before retiring. Jerry later lived in Savannah, Georgia for three years then moved to San Manuel, Arizona where he worked as a Mine Safety Engineer for Magma Copper Company for thirteen years. He was a song and poem writer, former music director at the Enos Baptist Church and Sunday school director. Jerry recorded songs in Nashville, Tennessee and would sing at various places. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the NCO Club and the Shepherd Chapel in Gravette, Arkansas. He is survived by wife Carol Ann Davis, Kingston, OK; sons Robbie Gene Davis, Tucson, AZ, Randall Gerald Davis, Tucson, AZ; three grandchildren Robbie Carl Davis, Spokane, WA, Savannah Marie Davis, Scottsdale, AZ, Mariah Cummings, Tucson, AZ; two great-grandchildren Josef Robbie Davis, Spokane, WA, Hannah Cummings, Tucson, AZ; sister Nancy Hope, Brunswick, GA; half brother J. Lee Burge, Tucson, AZ; mother-in-law Neshia Foster, Madill, OK; sisters-in-law Robin Bauer Foster, Arlington, TX, Carolyn Sikes, Savannah, GA; three nieces, nephews and one cousin; six great nieces, one great nephew. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brother, brother-in-law and nephew. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 2004, at the Sunset Memorial Garden, Lawton, Oklahoma. Clifford Glasgow will officiate the services. Family hour from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at WATTS FUNERAL HOME, Madill Oklahoma.
