Dickey RINGLING — Hollis H. Dickey, 78, of Claypool died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, in his home. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Waurika First Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Adkisson and Dr. Mike Schlittler officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Spivey’s Reser Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Mr. Dickey was born May 6, 1924, in Waurika to Mary Christine “Molly” and S.E. Dickey. He married Betty Bell Randolph on June 27, 1948, in Ringling. He grew up in the Claypool community, attending the rural Claypool school. Mr. Dickey loved his community and the people who lived there. He worked many years as a livestock auctioneer, along with farming and ranching. He used his auctioneering skills for many good causes. He was a member of the Marvin Acree Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Betty Bell, of the home; two daughters, and sons-in-law, Hollye Beth and Jerry Beaver, McAlester and Linda and Steve Powell, Lawton; four grandchildren, Jeremy and his wife, Christi Beaver, Heather and her husband, Shane Winter, Sarah and Blakely Ann Powell; three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Preston and Nathan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mom and Pop Dickey; his brothers, Alton, Ernest, Roy, Worth and Paul; and one sister, Elaine Grace. Bearers will be Mike Brooks, Jack Grace, Ronnie Austin, Tom Hildebrant, Jimmy Howard and Kenny Beshon. Honorary bearers are Obed Bennett, Jim Spurlock, Don Howard, Jack Wilson, Blaine Smith, Mike Castle, Joe Parker Jr., Wilson Sealing and Joe Brown.
