P.L. spent his youth working cattle on his family's ranch. As a young man, he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps and worked throughout the Midwest. In 1951 he moved his family to Foresthill, where P.L. lived happily for 56 years. He was employed by Hughes Brothers Lumber Company, and later American Forest Products, where he worked until he retired. He enjoyed racing the local kid's on their bikes with his beloved scooter. He also enjoyed the great outdoors and never tired of hearing hunting and fishing stories from relatives and friends. His love for hunting and fishing was instilled in his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed a very special fishing relationship with grandsons, Damian Forsythe and B.J. Forsythe. P.L. was a beloved member of the Foresthill community.
