All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Ryan Cemetery--Ryan OK Grove, Harold Harding Harold Harding Grove, was born 1-2-1921, in the Grady Community, and lived most of his life in Jefferson County around Ryan & Waurika. He attended school at Claypool. He was the 4th born son of Everett C. and Callie D. McGregor Grove. He was preceded in death by both his parents and brothers, Buford, Truman, & Larence, also by an infant son, Jackie Lynn Grove. He had a great love for horses and for that matter any animal. Harold served in the Merchant Marines and also in the 605 Engineering Combat Division during World War II. He was an active Mason, serving as Worthy Master in both the Ryan and Waurika Lodges. After retirement from managing small motels in the Dallas area, he lived in Waurika and Duncan and spent a lot of time working on his computer. In Duncan, he enjoyed the TV & Radio Ministers and thru them accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. His last few years have been spent at the Oklahoma Veterans Retirement Center in Norman, OK. He is survived by sisters, Emogene & husband, George (Lawson) Kiser of Carthage, MO, and Betty and husband, Bill Cherry of Dallas, Texas; also by 9 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews and a multitude of cousins. Services will be at the First Baptist Church in Ryan, OK, on Thursday, 12-12-02, at 11:00 AM, and interment will follow in the Ryan Cemetery.
