Service was to be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at Marvin Acree Memorial United Methodist Church in Ringling with BryanSpivey officiating. Burial was to be in Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Griffin was born Jan. 22, 1924, to Andy and Gertrude Baker Griffin. He graduated from Ringling High School and was a member of Wolf Hunters Association. He was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his wife LaRue, of the home, two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Sherry Griffin and Jon and Sandy Griffin, all of Fox; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Travis Harris of Ardmore; a daughter in law, Deborah Griffin of Ringling; a sister and brother-in-law, Billy Merle and Wayne Smith of Claypool; six grandchildren, Tiffany Day, Katie Griffin, Wade and Keena Griffin, Matt and Brandi Harris; two great-grandchildren, Cydney and Madison Sotelo; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Gertrude Griffin; two sons, Brent Griffin in 1984, and Gary Griffin in 2001; a brother, J. B. "Son" Griffin; and a sister, Edna Earl. Bearers were Steve Smith, Jerry Smith, Mark Vaughn, Wade Griffin, Dale Riley and Roger Butler. Honarary bearers are Delbert Burton, Don Ellis, Glen Tapps, R. C. Kennedy, John M. Reid, Louis Kimme and Travis Harris.
