Husky, D.O., 50, of Norman died Friday, Oct. 17, in Norman. Visitation will be today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Havenbrook Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church in Norman with Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Maguire Cemetery in Noble. Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman is handling arrangements. Mr. Husky was born March 11, 1953, in Ringling to A.B. Husky, D.O., and Betty L. (Downey) Husky. He graduated from Norman High School and attended the University of Oklahoma for two years. He then transferred and later graduated from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Mo. He additionally completed an internship in Tucson, Ariz. In 1978, Mr. Husky returned to Norman to work with his father in his medical practice. Alan volunteered as the physician for the Norman Police Department TAC Team, was on staff at the Norman Regional Medical Center and was an honorary member of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He was Board Certified in Family Medicine and was a member of the American and Oklahoma Osteopathic Association. He enjoyed hunting, four-wheeling, going to the beach and being outdoors with his son, Sam. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, R.S. and Essie Jones Downey and Andrew Brady and Hattie L. Husky. Survivors include his son, Samuel Brady Husky; his fiancée, Leann Hewett of the home; his parents, A.B. Husky and Betty L. Husky of Norman; and a brother, Ira Brady Husky, D.O., and his wife, Karen, of Cincinnati, Ohio; a niece, Stephanie Husky; a nephew, Christian Husky; and numerous friends and family.
