Hatcher LAWTON — Robert K. Hatcher, 85, of Lawton died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at a local nursing home. Funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. today at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was to be 2 p.m. at Victory Cemetery in Victory, under the direction of the funeral home. Mr. Hatcher was born on April 10, 1917, near Waurika, to R.C. and Mable V. King Hatcher. He lived on a farm near Waurika until 1962. He joined the U.S. Army in August 1940 at Fort Sill. He was honorably discharged in November 1945, in Arkansas. He moved to Lawton in 1962. He married Clara Stout on Jan. 20, 1962. She preceded him in death on July 3, 1999. Mr. Hatcher was the plumbing supervisor for the City of Lawton until his retirement. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and a member of the Builders Sunday School Class. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Cullen and Erma Hatcher of Duncan; his nephew, Harvey Thomason of Duke; two nieces, Wilma Pickens and Vickie Martinez, both of Oklahoma City; and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Memorial contributions may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 704 S.W.
