Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. She was born Dec. 1, 1931, in Ringling, Okla. At an early age, Patricia began teaching Sunday school to sixth-grade girls. She also enjoyed writing poems and was published by the Sunday School Board for her "Horizontal View of Parenthood." She raised three boys while confined to bed and was later confined to a wheelchair. She encouraged people through Bible study. Before her illness, she was an executive secretary. She considered the nursing home where she resided her ministry. She was able to communicate with the rest of the world with a hands-free computer that also acted as a phone. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Elma Cogdill; and a granddaughter, Melody Anne McCain. Survivors: Her husband of 46 years, Raymond McCain; sons, Gene and his wife, Kerri McCain, of Grapevine, Steve and his wife, Deborah McCain, of Bern, Switzerland, and John and Kimberley McCain of Benbrook; mother-in- law, Hattie McCain; sister, Betty Jo Leclair of South Carolina; and grandchildren, Tyler and Colt Spinks and Sarah McCain.
