Services were at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1996 at the Willis C. Worley Funeral Home in Waurika, with the Rev. Dale Crow, pastor of the First Christian Church of Waurika, officiating. Burial will be in Waurika Perpetual Care Cemetery. Mrs. Mayden was born June 21, 1923, in Brushy Creek, VA. She and Thurman Butler were married in 1941 in Arnoldsburg, W.V. He died in 1945. She moved to Okla. in 1948. She and Doyle Mayden were married in 1961 in Waurika. In 1968, she moved to Duncan and moved back to Waurika in 1971. She was employed by Junior's Restaurant for several years and Molly's Cafe. Cora was a volunteer at Wood Nursing Home for many years before being admitted to Junnie Wood. While at Junnie Wood, Cora was always trying to help others. Cora and Rachel Wood have been close friends for a long time. Survivors include one niece, Phyllis Coffey from Romulus, Michigan. Pallbearers were: Floyd Zimmerman, Bob Brown, Rick Crutcher, Dennis Kelly, Jim Burden and Willis Worley.
