Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. James Nolen Marlett was born Sept. 13, 1913, in Waurika, Okla. He married Othel Mae Rolling on Nov. 7, 1942, and they moved to Fort Worth in December 1950. He began working for the Fort Worth public schools in January 1951 and continued there even after retiring in 1978. James also worked as a custodian for Fountain of Life Church in Watauga, where he was a member until he was 88. He was a longtime resident of Fort Worth and recently moved to Corpus Christi to be with his son. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling and spending time with his friends and family. James was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Othel Mae, on June 18, 2005; a daughter, Dortha Jean Henson; two brothers; and three sisters. Survivors: Daughter, Dolores Boggs and husband, Dale, of Savanna, Okla.; son, Glenn Marlett and wife, Sherri, of Corpus Christi; son-in-law, Dewayne Henson of McAlester, Okla.; granddaughters, Vivian Williams and husband, Ted, of McAlester, Okla., Cassie Cleveland and husband, Michael, of Fort Worth and Carrie Alamazan and husband, Aruelio, of Nashville, Tenn.; grandsons, Lonnie Boggs of Savanna, Okla., and Todd Marlett and wife, Misty, of Fort Hood; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great- granddaughter; and sister, Eva Row of Fort Worth.
