All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Owings, Eddie Joe Eddie Joe Owings, born June 24, 1939, Grady, Oklahoma, died August 20, 2002, Midwest City Hospital. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Dixie; daughter Nancy and son-in-law, Steven McCumber; grandchildren, Chase and Hannah of TN, Lacy and Zachry of AL; parents Wesley and Ana Lou Owings of OKC; sister Garry and brother-in-law David McCann of OKC; brother Larry and sister-in-law Karen Owings of TX brother Terry and sister-in-law Karla Owings of OKC; sister in-law Connie Atkinson of KS; sister-in-law Sherrie of NM; brothers-in-law Jim and Richard Ketter of KS; mother-in-law Juanita Martin; 23 nieces and nephews and countless friends. Eddie was preceded in death by son Gregory Alan Geier. Eddie graduated from Southeast High School in 1957. He attended OCU, was an Army veteran and a 32nd Degree mason. Eddie was employed at Tinker Field for the last 22 years and previously worked for Rounds & Porter Lumber Company. He was a talented woodcrafter. Eddie was a great horseman. He lived out his childhood dream and was a true cowboy until the day he died; with his long-hair, long white-beard, cowboy boots and hat he truly fit the part. Eddie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 24th at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 N.E. 23rd. Memorials may be made to the Coffee Creek Riding Center, 17th & Coffee Creek Road, Edmond, Oklahoma 73034 in Eddie's memory. See you later, kiddo!
