Jewel Rich

SUDAN - Jewel Rich, 81, died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church with 
the Rev. Lyndall Fletcher, pastor, and the Rev. Jim Hawthorne of Amarillo 
officiating. Burial will be in Sudan Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home of 
Muleshoe.

Mrs. Rich was born in Ringling, Okla. She moved to Sudan from Eldorado, 
Okla., in 1948. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist 
Church of Sudan and United Methodist Women. She was a board member of 
Sudan Senior Citizens where she was a quilter.

She married Charles Rich in 1940 at Quanah. She was preceded in death by a 
son, Charles Herbert Rich Jr., in 1955.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Harley Fields of Henderson, Nev., 
and Nathan Rich of Canyon; a sister, Lavern Wilson of Carlsbad, N.M.; 
seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
