All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Seaman, Mary Elizabeth Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth (Stewart) Seaman who died Friday, August 16, 2002 will be held Tuesday, August 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, OK. Burial will follow in Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of the Matthews Funeral Home of Edmond. She was born March 6, 1914 in Hastings, Jefferson County, Oklahoma where her parents, William James and Cora Burge Stewart were teaching. At the age of 12, when her father died, the family moved to a farm near Edmond and she attended Edmond Public Schools where she graduated in 1932. She was married to Lloyd A. Seaman in February, 1932; she was a full-time homemaker who cared for her six children, 5 of whom survive her. A long time member of the First Methodist Church, she was an active member of her circle for a number of years before recent ill health required her to cease all activities. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd, oldest child David Lloyd Seaman and brother, Will J. Stewart Jr. Surviving her are children Gayle (Bob) Behm of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Stanley (Nancy) Seaman of Duncan, Reta Beth (Gary) Seaton and Sharon (Gene) Caldwell, both of Edmond, Russell (Elaine) Seaman of Taylorsville, Utah and daughter-in-law, Jody Seaman of Sand Springs, OK. Also surviving are her sister, Ida Jane Davis and brother Willard Stewart, both of Edmond, as well as 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Matthews Funeral Home Locally Owned 601 S.
