Frank Pierce, minister of the First Church of Christ of Waurika, officiated. Interment was in the family plot of the Waurika cemetery. Julia H. Porter was born August 28, 1883, and died May 2, 1958 in the home of her older daughter, Mrs. Ruby Hedges of Ardmore. She was married May 14, 1901 in Ryan to Dave Tucker and they moved to Waurika in 1907. Her home had been here and at the Tucker country home near here until recently. She became too ill to stay alone and went to Ardmore where Mrs. Hedges, assisted by the other children, gave her every care. Mrs. Tucker had been a member of the Church of Christ since early girlhood. She is remembered as a good wife and mother, a fine neighbor and friend. She is survived by the following children, her husband having died several years ago: Jeff B. Tucker of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Hedges of Ardmore, and Mrs. Charles Chain of Wichita Falls. Grandchildren are Mary Louise Bess and Sharon Tucker.
