Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with Jim Reyna, minister of the Church of Christ at McLean, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Wheeler was born in Waurika, Okla. He married Willie Mae Dye in 1934 at Antlers, Okla. They moved to Pampa in the early 1960s. He owned and operated Kay's Market for several years. He was a pumper for J.M. Huber Corp. in Stinnett for 16 years, retiring in 1962. He then operated Wheeler's Market at Kelton for several years. He also was a rancher and had been a contract pumper for numerous oil field companies. He attended the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; a son, Josh Wheeler of Kress; two daughters, Voncile Nolen of Casper, Wyo., and Joan Madeen of Rhome; two sisters, Floris Dooley of Henderson, Ky., and Eula McKnight of Pampa; a brother, Delbert Wheeler of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; and 17 great- grandchildren.
