Their parents are William Gaddis and Bettie Lee Sheppard. He was born in 1883,place not verified,Tn.Ok.or Tx.), married Bettie Lee Sheppard in 1906 in Milburn,Ok. He moved with his family to Texas in 1929, and moved to a farm in 1938 where he purchased 35 acres of prime bottom land where he supported his large family with the large varity of crops, as well as the beef, ham, chickens, etc. usually found on the farm. William Gaddis had a brother, Benjamin "Ben" Gaddis, as well as some other family members. William Gaddis is found as a 12 yr. old, living with his aunt Sally, in a questionable "house of ill repute", and being sited for selling illegal whiskey. This was still in the time of the Indian Territory. His father, Allen C. Gaddis, married Alice Ann Rogers,Wheeler, Whalin,Chapman, in Lamar County, and then disappeared. Some say he went back north where he was killed by a train. Anyone know or heard of them.
