Virginia A. Black was born October 5, 1920 in Mannsville, OK and went to be with her Lord Friday, November 12, 2004. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lois Aldridge and her only sister, 'Snooks' Nevada Elois Fitzgerald. She is survived by her two children, Angyne Bean of Mannsville, OK and Rodney Clayton Fitzgerald of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren, Roby Bean, Nicky Bean, and Gary Bean; and four great grandchildren, Nicky, Tinishia, Megan, and Caramie. Virginia finished high school at Mannsville, OK and was Valedictorian of her senior class. She finished McAlester Beauty Academy and was a beauty operator for about 5 years. She worked at Western Electric a while, then went to work at Tinker Field where she retired. She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter 162 and a former member of Friends Inc. She was baptized in 1979 in the Baptist faith and has attended Southern Hills Baptist Church regularly since 1989. She was a former member of the Jubilee Choir there. She was a member of the Ruth Class. She loved her Sunday school class and all that they did for her. Virginia loved her Pomeranians and had won several ribbons at various dog shows. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 16, 2004 in the Southern Hills Baptist Church with interment following in the Mannsville Cemetery under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
