All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Memorial Park Cemetery--Amarillo TX Weldon Bynum Weldon Bynum, 78, of Amarillo, died Monday, Jan. 5, 1998. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with the Rev. Billy Holland of First Christian Church and the Rev. Bob Schroeder of Paramount Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Bynum was born in Tishomingo, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in 1943. He served in the Navy during World War II and Korea. He retired in 1974 from the Civil Service as supervisor of food service. He was a registered member of the Chickasaw Nation. He attended Paramount Terrace Christian Church. He married Juanita King in 1943 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Sue Oglesby of Fritch, Angela Gustin of San Angelo, and Charlita Bynum Kosechata and Toni Williams, both of Amarillo; three sons, Alberto Shipman of Plano, and Allen Shipman and Weldon Lynn Bynum, both of Amarillo; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will be at 2501 S. Browning.
