All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Duncan City Cemetery--Duncan OK Duncan Banner 11 May 2003 Raymond Roy Dale Raymond Roy Dale, 83, of Duncan died Thursday, May 8, 2003, in Lawton, after an extended illness. Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with Leonard Keele officiating. Burial will be in the Duncan Cemetery. Raymond was born April 24,1920, in Fillmore, one of 13 children born to Jim W. and Lassie Jones Dale. He married Lathelle D. Thompson on Aug. 15,1 941, in Pauls Valley. He served in the United States Army from Nov. 21, 1942, to Aug. 27, 1943. He worked as a farmer and rancher all of his live and was a member of the Marlow Christian Church. Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Stephen Dale of Duncan; a daughter, Beth Luttrull of Orange Park, Fla.; three brothers, Fred Dale and Jimmy Dale of Davis and George Dale of Elmore City; five sisters, Hettie Floyd of Hot Springs, Ark., Ethel Allen of Woodland, Calif., Olyne Simmons of Ardmore, Bonnie Morris of Mesquite, Texas, and Lauralee Byrd of Amarillo, Texas; two grandchildren, Suzanna Sizemore of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jason Luttrull of Milledgeville, Ga.; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Albert and Wilburn Dale; two sisters, Winnie Dale and Edith Winterstein. Bearers will be Kevin Dale, Kent Dale, Alan Dale, Chris Byrd, Jason Luttrull and Stanley Phillips. Honorary bearers are Don Dean, Loren Johnson, Gordon Thompson, Gale Thompson, Glynnis Thompson and Zane Brittain.
